Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Digital Content Manager to join our team. This is a hands-on role responsible for driving the planning, creation, and management of all digital content across various social media platforms in the lead-up to and during a high-profile international event.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive social media strategy across all platforms to engage with audiences and drive results.
  • Plan and manage daily content, including reels, short-form video, photography, graphics, and stories that showcase the event's storylines and key moments.
  • Collaborate with athletes, marketing teams, and global volleyball channels to deliver authentic and engaging storytelling that resonates with fans worldwide.
  • Recruit, brief, and manage a team of volunteer content creators to ensure consistent and high-quality content throughout the event period.
  • Monitor community engagement and fan sentiment, including moderation of comments, messages, and real-time fan interaction to maintain a positive and respectful environment.
Requirements:
  • Demonstrated experience managing social media accounts for a sports team or event, with a proven track record of success in driving engagement and metrics.
  • Strong knowledge of meta platforms and ability to create engaging content that captivates audiences and drives results.
  • Experience creating and editing video content for digital-first consumption, with a focus on visual storytelling and audience engagement.
  • Ability to work flexibly, including evenings and weekends during the event, to ensure seamless execution and timely delivery of content.
  • Confident working in a live event environment with quick turnarounds and competing priorities, with a calm and professional demeanor under pressure.
