At Westpac Group, we're seeking an experienced leader to drive our Private Lending strategy forward. As a Director of Credit Solutions, you will be responsible for developing and implementing a robust credit risk management framework that aligns with our Private Wealth proposition.

This role is part of the Private Banking Services Leadership team and plays a critical role in engaging across the value chain both internally and externally. You will utilise your highly developed people management, coaching and communication skills to promote strong operational excellence and drive continued growth and strategic change within an already high performing team of Lending Analysts.

The Key Objectives of this role include:

  • Driving transformational change to increase FTE productivity and client experience and embed Group strategic, compliance and risk management initiatives.
  • Continuing to build on a high performance, values driven culture that challenges the status quo.
  • Optimising the P&L impact of credit/portfolio risk and improving the quality of the loan book by proactively and responsibly managing ongoing lending exposures to negate lending losses.
  • Providing an efficient and effective lending process, and continually seeking to improve it, making it easy for bankers to lend and customers to borrow.
  • Broadening the risk appetite to more appropriately reflect the unique credit requirements of HNW customers.
  • Working with Banking and Financial Markets business partners to develop lending products that fulfil the wealth needs of HNWs and support the Private Bank in achieving its holistic wealth agenda.
