Job Title: Hospital Kitchen Assistant
The Royal Children's Hospital provides high-quality care to children and young people. Our main kitchen team works together to deliver nutritious meals to patients, ensuring their health and well-being are prioritized.
This role is for a permanent full-time position in the RCH Hospital Kitchen. The successful candidate will work as part of a team to assist with food distribution, storage, cleaning, and sanitizing. They will also help with patient meal set-up, salad and sandwich preparation, and waste management.
We're looking for someone who has excellent communication skills and can work effectively with others. Previous experience in health or hospitality settings is an advantage. A Level 1 Food Handling certificate (Basic Food Safety) and Food Allergy Training Certificate are required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to achieve high-quality patient service
- Comply with the principles of food safety and the hospital's food safety program
- Adhere to all hospital and departmental policies and procedures
What You'll Achieve:
