About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Software Engineer to join our top ASX listed company, a leader in the industry with a rich history spanning over 200 years. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a leading engineering team in Australia and contribute to a major technology initiative that will transform the way our organisation services its customers with analytics solutions.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Design, develop, test, and install applications on a broad and exciting technology stack, including complex platforms that touch every part of the organisation.
  • Write code, develop documentation, and lead/contribute to software design.
  • Collaborate with users to assess IT needs and ensure system quality.
  • Support testing phases and assist with defect triage.
  • Maintain and improve integration processes.

What We Are Looking For

  • Prior hands-on leadership experience.
  • A growth mindset – someone eager to learn and keen to develop and grow.
  • Strong demonstrated Full Stack development skills with Java and JavaScript frameworks (React).
  • Experience with Spring/Spring Boot.
  • Good ability to understand complex applications.
  • Knowledge in Serverless/Microservice architecture (AWS is advantageous).
  • Excellent communication skills – ability to translate highly technical information to business stakeholders.
