About the Role


We are seeking an experienced Commissioning Supervisor to join our team in Queensland. The successful candidate will report to the Senior Project Manager and play a critical role in supervising Energy Solutions projects.



Job Description


This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled professional with trade qualifications in Electrical and a current QLD Electrical Worker License to lead and manage teams of technicians and contractors.




  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise internal and external technicians to ensure assembly, testing, and commissioning meet project requirements.
  • Represent Penske's Energy Solution team and provide technical expertise to customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Conduct and oversee Site Acceptance Testing (SAT) and Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) activities.
  • Develop and implement testing and quality control documentation to ensure products meet the highest standards.
  • Mentor and train team members with hands-on expertise and a focus on safety.


Requirements


To be successful in this role, you will require:




  • Trade qualification in Electrical with a current QLD Electrical Worker License and willingness to obtain QLD Electrical Contractor License.
  • At least 5 years' experience in Power Generation, ideally with a background in microgrids, renewable energy, or storage systems.
  • Strong background in power systems, controls, instrumentation, and switchgear, with expertise in fault-finding and complex electrical/mechanical systems.
  • Proven supervisory experience with both direct reports and contractors, including excellent time management and organizational skills.
