The role of Church Facilities Manager is critical in supporting the mission of our organisation by overseeing the maintenance and upkeep of our physical spaces.

This includes ensuring the day-to-day operations of worship areas and other facilities meet the needs of staff and the community, as well as leading small-scale improvement projects to enhance these spaces.

A key aspect of this role is building strong relationships with local church staff and volunteers to understand their needs for facility usage and ensure these are met.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Facility Management: Oversee the day-to-day operations of our facilities to ensure they meet the needs of staff and the community.
  • Improvement Projects: Lead small-scale improvement projects to enhance our facilities, working closely with external contractors to implement changes in areas such as structural repairs, accessibility, and energy efficiency.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Build strong relationships with local church staff and volunteers to understand their needs for facility usage and ensure these are met.
  • Budget Management: Manage budgets effectively to ensure cost-effective solutions for maintenance and improvements.
  • Compliance and Safety: Ensure our facilities comply with all relevant legal and safety standards, conducting regular inspections and maintaining up-to-date records.
Requirements:
  • Experience in property or facilities management, preferably in a church or community setting.
  • Technical knowledge of building maintenance, safety regulations, and accessibility standards.
  • Ability to manage small-scale improvement projects and budgets with autonomy.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to build relationships with church staff and external contractors.
