Job Summary:

The Senior Underwriter Fleet Motor role is a key position within Vero Insurance, responsible for ensuring the establishment of quality, sustainable, and profitable business for the Commercial Motor Fleet product.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor allocated portfolios against budgeted KPIs, including Renewal & New Business MTD & YTD, GWP & ITR.
  • Act as a subject matter expert for the immediate team and senior referral point for product within the state.
  • Assist in the development and execution of agreed Product Strategy.
  • Monitor Underwriter adherence to agreed Product Underwriting Process.
  • Facilitate multi-line opportunities as appropriate.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 10 years commercial experience in insurance, coupled with relevant qualifications.
  • Minimum 10 years Commercial Motor fleet underwriting experience in insurance.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of portfolio, underwriting, and pricing practices and policies.
  • Strong market presence and well-established relationships with intermediaries.
  • Understanding of relevant Insurance products, industry, market environment, reinsurance structures, and customer segment.
  • Ability to underwrite at an advanced level in accordance with Risk Appetite, Delegated Underwriting Authority (DUA), Underwriting Guidelines, and Business Licence.
