Job Description:

This Security Duty Officer position is an exciting opportunity to join KBR's National Security Solutions team, where you will play a vital role in maintaining the security and integrity of critical operations. Located in Alice Springs at a 4,400-acre facility with approximately 687,000 square feet of mission and support space, this position requires a vigilant and detail-oriented individual with a strong foundation in security protocols, risk assessment, and emergency response.

About the Role:

  • You will be responsible for providing 24x7 personnel access control to ensure classified information and sensitive materials are properly secured and safeguarded for all classified areas.
  • As the shift supervisor or senior SDO, you will perform management and supervisory responsibilities, as well as informal security-related activities as directed by the Security Government Point of Contact (GPOC).
  • You will also provide 24-hour monitoring and response to facility fire alarms and other emergency indicators, operate the United States Government (USG)-provided paging and radio network, and scan all submitted computer software for viruses.
  • In addition, you will manage/maintain keys and combination control, provide roving patrols, and assist and be on recall for Emergency Response, as directed; serve as the first responder and facility focal point for all medical emergencies inside and outside of classified areas at the site; and provide incident and daily reporting as required.

Requirements:

  • You must be a US or Australian citizen with a valid passport.
  • A US TS/SCI clearance w/ Poly, or an Australian PV clearance, is mandatory.
  • A minimum of five years of experience in the field of industrial and facility security is required.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and familiarity with network setup and management are essential.
  • Excellent customer service skills and attention to detail are necessary.
  • Attention to Detail: Precision and attention to detail to ensure high-quality service delivery and compliance with safety standards.
  • Adaptability: Flexibility to adapt to changing conditions, technologies, and requirements.
  • Decision-Making Ability: Strong decision-making skills to resolve issues quickly and effectively under pressure.

The estimated salary for this role is around $70,000 - $90,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience. This role is expected to be onsite 100% of the time. Please note that this is a contingent position based upon contract award.
