Job Description

We are currently recruiting for multiple caregivers/personal care assistants to provide in-home care services for our clients.

Our team provides personal care, domestic assistance (light cleaning and meal prep), transportation and companionship.

We are a progressive organisation committed to making a real difference in the in-home Care sector.

In Home Support is an essential service and we continue to operate with best-practice infection control and enhanced risk mitigation procedures.

We have many care shifts available across Geelong and surrounding areas. We are looking for exceptional support workers and/or personal care assistants to meet the needs of our existing and new clients.

Absolute Care & Health has provided in-home care, support and nursing services for nearly 10 years.

We deliver services for people through various programs.

We work across Metro Melbourne, Greater Geelong and the Mornington Peninsula.

We are a supportive and close-knit team with a shared goal of providing the best in-home support services for all clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assisting clients with personal hygiene and getting dressed
  • Assisting clients with housekeeping or other daily errands
  • Providing companionship and emotional support
  • Preparing food and feeding clients
  • Transporting clients to appointments
  • Providing support with academic, social or recreational activities

Requirements

  • Minimum of Certificate 3 in Individual Support / Health Services Assistance / Aged Care / Home and Community Care
  • Valid work rights in Australia
  • Current and Clear National Police Check (within 12 months validity)
  • Current First Aid & CPR certification
  • Employee Working with Children Check
  • Full Covid Vaccination Comprehensive NDIS Clearance

Desirable Qualifications

  • 1-2 years of support work or personal care experience
  • Australian driver's license
  • Insured car
  • Hoisting experience
  • Current manual handling certification
  • Experience supporting people with autism
  • Experience with non-verbal clients
  • Experience with spinal cord injuries
