About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Warehouse Maintenance Officer to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of all warehouse equipment and facilities.

The successful candidate will be responsible for performing routine maintenance of warehouse equipment, identifying and resolving faults or breakdowns promptly, coordinating with external vendors for specialised repairs when necessary, and developing and implementing a preventative maintenance schedule for all warehouse equipment.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Performing routine maintenance tasks on warehouse equipment
  • Identifying and resolving faults or breakdowns promptly to minimize disruptions to operations
  • Coordinating with external vendors for specialized repairs when necessary
  • Developing and implementing a preventative maintenance schedule for all warehouse equipment
  • Regularly inspecting equipment to ensure compliance with safety and operational standards
  • Maintaining detailed records of maintenance activities
  • Ensuring the warehouse environment is safe, clean, and well-maintained
  • Monitoring and managing essential services such as lighting, plumbing, and HVAC systems
  • Reporting and overseeing any building maintenance issues
  • Adhering to health and safety regulations in all maintenance tasks
  • Conducting safety checks on equipment and ensuring appropriate signage is in place
  • Participating in audits and assisting in maintaining compliance with workplace safety standards
  • Maintaining an inventory of tools, spare parts, and consumables required for maintenance
  • Ordering replacement parts and supplies as needed, ensuring cost-effectiveness
  • Tracking usage and keeping detailed records of inventory levels
  • Assisting in setting up or dismantling warehouse layouts and equipment when required
  • Providing support during stocktake events, equipment upgrades, or warehouse relocations
  • Handling general ad-hoc tasks as directed by management

Your Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A relevant trade qualification or technical certification (preferred but not mandatory)
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role
  • A Forklift license or other relevant operational licenses
