We are seeking an experienced Emergency Department Registrar to join our team at the local hospital and linked Urgent Care Centre in a unique setting.
About the Role
This is a fantastic opportunity for an Accredited Registrar who is eager to provide contemporary Emergency Care to the Gippsland South Coastal region. The role involves supporting both the Emergency Department (ED) at the local hospital and the linked Urgent Care Centre.
The Location
Nestled in the central region of Gippsland, this town boasts an array of superb cafes, delightful bakeries, and captivating galleries. It is positioned along Victoria's stunning coastline, just a 90-minute drive from Melbourne.
About the Hospital
The Emergency Department has annual presentations of around 17,000, with 20% being paediatric and an overall admission rate of approximately 25%. The department transfers approximately 10 critical care patients a month for various diagnoses. The Urgent Care Centre sees around 10,000 patients annually. This is a growing Health Service designated as a sub-regional service.
