About the Role

We are seeking an experienced General Superintendent to join our team on the CopperString 2032 project, a $5 billion iconic project that will connect Queensland's North West Minerals Province to the national electricity grid.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a team of substation staff and contractors to deliver projects according to schedule, budget, and scope.
  • Oversee quality control throughout the project life cycle and ensure compliance with project objectives and deliverables.
  • Facilitate innovation concepts to improve the project for all stakeholders.
  • Connect with local communities and suppliers to maximise local business involvement in the project.
  • Manage the project team to accurately and timely deliver projects.
Requirements
  • Minimum 15 years' electrical substation construction experience, with minimum 2 years as a superintendent.
  • Trade Qualification - AQF Certificate IV in Construction (or equivalent).
  • Managed self and resources to deliver work in excess of $200M.
  • Demonstrated commercial experience includes planning up to 3 months ahead and monitoring of cost and time of resources providing input to monthly forecasting.
  • Strong communication skills (oral & written) including strong negotiation and influencing skills and the ability to establish effective working relationships with a variety of people at different levels both internally and externally.
