About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Caregiver to join our team at Australian Unity. As a key member of our Home Health program, you will play a vital role in delivering in-home support services to our customers, empowering them to live independently and safely within their own homes and communities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide domestic assistance duties such as cleaning, laundry, and meal preparation to support our customers' daily needs.
  • Assist clients with personal care services including showering and toileting, promoting their dignity and well-being.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and their families, ensuring their needs are met and concerns are addressed.
  • Adhere to health and safety guidelines and policies to ensure the safety of both our customers and staff.
  • Report any issues or changes in the customer's health and wellbeing through the appropriate channels and protocols.
Requirements
  • 12 months or more of relevant experience within Aged Care and/or Health Services, where you have delivered personal care.
  • Good verbal and written English skills.
  • Flexibility and availability to work rosters between Monday to Friday.
  • A current Australian Driver's License and ownership of a reliable, well-presented, comprehensively insured vehicle.
  • You'll have a current First Aid Certificate. If you don't have one, we will organize at no cost to you.
  • All Australian Unity employees must be fully vaccinated for COVID 19 (Booster is optional).

  • Competitive hourly rates of $30.60 to $36.72 + super.
