**Anduril Australia: Pioneering Spirit**

Since 2022, Anduril Australia has been on a rapid growth trajectory, introducing software-first, hardware-enabled systems to the Australian Defence Force. Our Ghost Shark Extra-Large Autonomous Undersea Vehicle exemplar program, developed in close partnership with the Australian government and sovereign industry, is fundamentally changing the way we approach subsurface capabilities.

**Mission-Critical Software Expert**

We seek a highly skilled **Senior Mission Software Engineer** to lead the design and implementation of Anduril's flagship products, ensuring customer missions receive best-in-class solutions. Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading and collaborating with a diverse team of engineers worldwide, with opportunities for local team growth.
  • Working closely with internal and external partners to deliver exceptional products to customers.
  • Integrating various external software and hardware components into Anduril's products.
  • Deriving and communicating requirements from multiple customers and partners operating in complex environments.

**Essential Qualifications**

To excel in this role, you will need:

  • A strong engineering background, preferably in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics, or Physics.
  • High ownership and autonomy across the software development lifecycle, with strong technical acumen to deliver high-quality code in disconnected environments.
  • A deep understanding of computer and network fundamentals, from single desktops to multi-cluster cloud nodes.
  • At least 7+ years of experience working with programming languages such as Go, Rust, C++, Java, Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, etc.
  • Experience with customer-oriented UI/UX development.
  • Expertise in building scalable backend software systems with varied data storage and processing demands.
  • Familiarity with industry-standard cloud platforms (ideally GCP, OCI), CI/CD tools, and software infrastructure fundamentals (networking, security, distributed systems).
  • Proven experience leading small teams of cross-functional engineers to design, build, and deploy software systems.
  • Ability to rapidly comprehend and navigate complex systems and established codebases.
  • AUS NV2 clearance is mandatory.
  • Flexibility to work across multiple time zones, primarily Australia Eastern and Pacific.
