Advanced Neonatal Nurse Practitioner

The Women's and Children's Division at North Canberra Hospital offers Maternity, Neonatal & Gynaecology services to women and their families in the ACT.
These services include antenatal, intrapartum, and postnatal care; gynaecology care; neonatal special care nursery support and domiciliary care.
A multidisciplinary team including Midwifery and Nursing Teams, Medical staff, and Allied Health professionals provide this care.
As a Registered Nurse +/- Midwife in our Special Care Nursery (SCN), you will deliver advanced clinical care to neonates. You will have expert practice knowledge in neonatal care and be able to provide leadership and work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals.
You will act as a mentor and clinical education resource for less experienced midwifery staff, providing them with guidance and support to achieve their learning goals.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing high-quality patient care and ensuring the safety of our patients
- Leading and mentoring a team of midwives and nurses
- Developing Performance Development Plans for Level 1 RN/RMs
To succeed in this role, you will need excellent communication skills, the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, and a strong commitment to delivering high-quality patient care.
