Product Development Specialist

At our organization, we have an exciting opportunity for a Product Development Specialist to join our team.

Job Description:

  • This is a permanent position that requires the incumbent to support, develop and co-ordinate primarily with clients, factories and suppliers to deliver high quality products and meet commercial requirements.
  • The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out engineering and turnout production support activities, designing and engineering products using AutoCAD, performing calculations, design, verification checks and other engineering functions.
  • They will also be involved in organizing and maintaining specifications, drawings, and other technical documents, developing systems and procedures for management of non-conforming product, preparing scope of work for project tenders, obtaining quotes for special components, fastenings, tooling, labor, testing, freight, and / or modifications required for projects.
  • Conduct tender / order reviews to confirm all aspects of the tender program are accurate. Deliver outstanding external client support and respond to their requests in a timely and productive manner.
  • Become a key interface with the manufacturing facility and Head Office, champion any non-conformance reports issued as the client / site interface.
  • Ensure records and documents are filed in accordance with the relevant filing system, provide technical advice and assistance to Business Development team, assist in identifying contract variations and instigate documentation / reporting to the client.

Requirements:

  • Tertiary education in Engineering.
  • CAD capability an advantage.
  • Basic Microsoft Packages including Word, Excel, Project and Outlook.
