About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented professional to fill this position in our Financial Services team.

  • This role plays a crucial part in supporting the delivery of efficient and effective accounting and administrative services, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements and policies.
  • The ideal candidate will have tertiary qualifications in Business, Finance, Accountancy or a related field, as well as sound experience in a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of accountancy principles and application, including reconciliations, is also essential.
  • Demonstrated administration skills, with experience in providing high-level customer service, are required.

The successful candidate will possess strong communication and organisational skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment. They will also have a strong attention to detail and be able to meet deadlines and handle multiple tasks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordination of Council's banking functions, including the processing of daily deposits and reconciliation of bank accounts to the General Ledger.
  • Providing financial support to the Financial Accountant, including preparation of financial reports and budgets.
  • Maintenance of accurate and up-to-date financial records and databases.
