Aboriginal Health Practitioner Role

The successful candidate will be a key member of the Healthy Children and Families clinical stream, providing insight into cultural issues for children and families in the MLHD. They will act as a conduit for liaison with other community organisations, including non-government agencies and First Nations specific services.
Key Performance Indicators- Provide culturally competent healthcare to children and families in the MLHD.
- Support staff in relation to best practice in culturally competent healthcare and general cultural information about health beliefs and issues for community.
- Promote the value of the Healthy Children and Families clinical programs across cultural networks within the MLHD.
The ideal candidate will be of Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander descent and have experience working in a culturally diverse environment. They will have strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with children, families, and community organisations.
