Job Opportunity: Heavy Vehicle Operator

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced and reliable heavy vehicle operator to join our team at a major civil construction site in New South Wales.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Transporting bulk materials such as crushed rock, sand and gravel to and from designated locations.
  • Verifying the types of materials being transported and ensuring they do not exceed weight restrictions.
  • Loading materials correctly onto the dump truck.
  • Maintaining the dump truck's mechanical systems including regular greasing every 5,000 miles.
  • Inspecting the dump truck before and after each trip, checking vital systems including oil, gas and water levels, lights and tires.
  • Promptly reporting any accidents, injuries or equipment faults to management.
  • Maintaining accurate driver logs and adhering to all relevant safety regulations.

Requirements:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent qualification.
  • A valid Class B Commercial Driver's License.
  • A current Medical Examiner's Certificate.
  • A clean driving record with no prior convictions.
  • Proven experience operating a standard dump truck.
  • Familiarity with construction site safety protocols, vehicle maintenance and road safety regulations.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.

Work Environment:

This is a full-time position working Monday to Friday, 8 hours per day.

Applicants must be willing and able to commute/relocate to Hoxton Park, NSW.
