Perth Airport New Runway Project Manager Opportunity

Perth Airport is Australia's Western Hub connecting people, businesses, and communities in Western Australia to the rest of Australia and the world. Operating 24 hours a day, seven days a week throughout the year, Perth Airport plays a significant role in providing economic, social, and cultural benefits to West Australians.

We are investing in new infrastructure to support our airline partners, offering more services to new destinations and an improved customer experience.

Over the coming decade, we will expand T1 International and build new domestic terminal facilities, a parallel runway, two multi-storey car parks, and our first airport hotel. This will deliver one airport for the people of Western Australia hosting all flight services in a central location, giving passengers a seamless, world-class travel experience.

The Perth Airport estate spans 2100 hectares and has developed a portfolio of existing industrial premises and significant vacant land holdings.

We service a diverse community, playing an important role in strengthening cultural, family, and social bonds while supporting business, tourism, and leisure travel.

Our team is currently looking for an experienced and passionate Contracts & Commercial Manager for Perth's New Runway project.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Spearhead the development, implementation, and execution of effective contract management and commercial practices within the Planning and Projects team in conjunction with Perth's New Runway.
  • Monitor and ensure the commercial viability of contracts, managing risk exposure, and provide effective dispute resolution advice.
  • Mentor and develop the commercial team, fostering professional growth and capability.

Contributions will be pivotal in driving the best commercial outcomes on Perth's New Runway project.

Requirements:
  • Possess a qualification in Law, Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or Construction Management.
  • Bring a minimum of 15 years of experience in commercial and contract management within a project or construction-based industry.
  • Exhibit proficiency in negotiating and strategizing successful commercial outcomes.
  • Demonstrate extensive knowledge of various contracting and procurement models for infrastructure project delivery.
  • Showcase excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Maintain a professional approach to project/contracts management and team engagement.
  • Collaborate effectively as a team player, working proactively and collaboratively with others.
  • Possess a strong understanding of change management principles and practices.
