About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Cyber Security Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be at the forefront of supporting customers with technical and service-related inquiries.

As a Cyber Security Specialist, you will combine exceptional customer service skills with technical problem-solving expertise, helping to build long-term customer loyalty. You will work in a collaborative environment, troubleshooting issues, guiding customers through solutions, and ensuring a seamless experience throughout their journey with us.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain and enhance our security systems:
    • Provide expert advice and assistance in securing infrastructure and development lifecycles;
    • Hands on with maintaining security specific tools, such as SIEM, Vulnerability management, edge devices and anti-malware;
  • Contribute to the identification and mitigation of security risks:
    • Participate in regular risk assessments and contribute to the development of mitigation strategies;
  • Security Incident Response:
    • Assist in responding to and resolving security incidents locally and coordinate with Global resources to remediate incidents;
  • Audit & Compliance Management:
    • Participate in audits and ensure compliance with relevant standards and regulations;
  • Information Security Policy & Procedure:
    • Develop and implement security frameworks to align with best practice;
  • Threat Management:
    • Monitor and report on threat events from tooling internally and to Global Payments as required;
Requirements
  • Essential Skills and Experience:
    • A tertiary qualification in the field of Information Technology or a related field;
    • Minimum of 5 years of commercial experience in a broad range of infrastructure areas;
    • Demonstrated experience in supporting the security infrastructure, ideally in a cloud-centric environment;
    • An understanding of web technologies, specifically as they relate to performance and end-user experience;
  • Desirable Skills and Experience:
    • Understanding of databases (MS SQL Server, MySQL);
