Geotechnical Director

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Geotechnical Engineer or Engineering Geologist to join our team as a Service Leader/Technical Director in Geotechnics. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing business opportunities, managing geotechnical projects, and providing technical expertise to clients.

• Develop and implement business strategies to grow PDP's geotechnical presence in Wellington, Hawkes Bay & Invercargill
• Manage and deliver geotechnical projects, including foundations, slope stability, dams, service corridors, and quarrying
• Provide technical leadership and expertise to clients, including contract management, cost estimating, and construction management
• Collaborate with other work groups at PDP, particularly in contaminated land, water infrastructure, and water resources
• Liaise with regulators and other relevant bodies to ensure compliance with relevant regulations

• Degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering, Engineering Geology (or equivalent)
• Minimum 3-10 years experience as a Geotechnical Engineer or Engineering Geologist (experience with a professional consultancy is preferred)
• Ideally Chartered Professional Engineer/Engineering Geologist status with Engineering New Zealand
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Proven leadership skills
• Creative thinking to find innovative solutions for clients
