As a Staff Specialist or Visiting Medical Officer in Obstetrics and Gynaecology, you will be responsible for providing high-quality medical care to women at every stage of life.
About the DepartmentOur department is a busy and dynamic team that provides a range of services, including:
- Busy birthing suite with approximately 650 deliveries per annum
- Outpatient clinics, including ANC, Gynaecology, High Risk Obstetrics, and Colposcopy
- Surgical services, including minimally invasive, open, and laparoscopic surgery
- JMO support, including Accredited Registrar, Rural Generalists, SRMO, and RMO
- Links to a well-established Department of Paediatrics with Special Care Nursery
- Close relationship with the University of Newcastle Department of Rural Health, with opportunities for teaching and research
