Job Description

Salary:

$120,000 - $150,000 per annum, depending on experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop detailed electrical designs, models, drawings, and specifications for iron ore projects.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other disciplines to understand project requirements and objectives.
  • Contribute technical and design assistance to provide engineering design solutions.
  • Demonstrate high standards of personal safety and safe design practices.
  • Ensure drafting and review processes are completed, and drawings are accurate and compliant with Cimic Group Standards.
  • Compete work in accordance with cost and schedule, and ensure project and client expectations are met.
  • Support the continuous improvement of design systems used by the organisation.
  • Attend site where required to support construction projects.

Requirements

  • 5+ years' experience in electrical design within the mining or heavy industrial sector, with a focus on iron ore projects.
  • Advanced Diploma, Diploma, or Electrical trade background.
  • Proficiency in Microstation, AutoCAD, Revit, or similar CAD software for electrical design and drafting.
  • Experience with power distribution systems, motor starters, instrumentation, and control systems.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical codes, standards, and regulations applicable to the mining industry.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritise tasks to meet deadlines and deliverables.
