Job Description

Role Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Business Operations Officer to join our team at the Australian Federal Police. The successful candidate will provide high-level secretariat support to our Strategic Board Framework, develop agendas, quality assure papers, attend meetings, prepare minutes, engage with stakeholders, and manage meeting logistics.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the AFP's key internal Strategic Board Framework by providing secretariat services, developing agendas, and quality assuring papers.
  • Manage meeting logistics, attendance, decisions, and action items for the AFP's boards and advisory forums.
  • Ensure accountability for decisions made by tracking and monitoring decisions, following up, and reporting on implementation and delivery.
  • Communicate decisions taken to affected audiences and model best-practice secretariat behaviours.
  • Cultivate the AFP's secretariat capabilities by providing guidance and support to Business areas secretariats and users.

Requirements:

  • Australian citizenship.
  • Negative Vetting 1 (Secret) security clearance or the ability to obtain one.
  • High level of attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Possession of highly developed liaison skills.
  • Experience in secretariat or similar services.
  • Strong administration and organisational skills.
  • Highly motivated and self-driven.
