About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Tech Governance Specialist to join our team at Australian Payments Plus. As a key member of our organization, you will play a crucial role in championing our Technology governance framework and ensuring the ongoing integrity and security of our IT infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee and implement policies and procedures to maintain our Technology governance framework.
  • Assess the existing Technology governance framework and identify areas for enhancement and optimization.
  • Drive the adoption and compliance of governance practices throughout the Technology organization.
  • Develop standard operating procedures for Technology to ensure compliance with corporate governance.
  • Ensure the organization's adherence to industry-specific compliance standards and regulations.
  • Provide regular reports and updates to senior management on compliance performance and improvement initiatives.
  • Facilitate Technology audits and assessments.
  • Collaborate with Technology teams to define governance objectives and align them with business and Technology.
  • Provide guidance and support on complying with internal and external policies.
  • Support internal and external stakeholders, including preparation of agenda, meeting materials, and minutes of meeting.
  • Coordinate and manage internal and external stakeholders to complete assigned actions within agreed timeframes.
Requirements
  • 6+ years' experience working within an information or data governance function.
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Certified in IT governance and compliance standards such as COBIT, ITIL, or ISO 27001.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of technology governance practices, business, and technology issues related to management of enterprise information assets and approaches related to data protection.
  • Practical experience in the definition and implementation of Technology policies and procedures.
  • Experience in coordination and organizing internal stakeholders to enable collaboration and efficient communication.
  • A good understanding of information management practices, including information lifecycle management, data modeling, master data management, and the conduct of business audits and requirements gathering.
