Role Overview

The Financial Lines Advisor will provide claims advocacy for national clients by offering technical advice and support throughout the claims process. This includes managing a portfolio of claims across Financial lines and providing advice, reporting, and support to clients in negotiating and settling losses.

Responsibilities
  • Manage a portfolio of claims across Financial lines, including commercial settlement negotiations directly with carriers on risk and creative problem-solving.
  • Work with and guide client advocate brokers to manage clients' expectations throughout the life of a claim.
  • Negotiate on behalf of clients with insurers and/or insurer-appointed representatives (e.g., panel lawyers).
Requirements
  • Law degree or equivalent formal qualification would be highly regarded but is not a prerequisite.
  • Cert IV in general insurance and Diploma qualification (or equivalent experience) would be highly regarded but is not a prerequisite.
  • Holder of all regulatory licenses, permissions, and technical or other requirements applicable under local legislation.
