Caregiver Liaison Specialist

About this role: Supervise and support safe family contact for children in care. Travel to carer homes and community locations as needed.

1. Transport and supervise family contact visits autonomously, prioritizing child safety.
2. Write clear, detailed reports soon after each visit, summarizing outcomes and observations.
3. Support care plans with Case Managers, collaborating to achieve best outcomes.
4. Identify and report child protection concerns, adhering to protocols and procedures.
5. Manage visits when not in the child's best interest, escalating issues as necessary.

• A Diploma in Community Services (or related field) is preferred but not required.
• A valid Driver's Licence, Working With Children Check, First Aid & NDI clearance are mandatory.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential for effective collaboration.
• Able to manage conflict and work with diverse families, promoting inclusive practices.
• Understanding of child safety and car restraint laws is crucial for this role.
• Must be available for a range of shifts, including evenings and weekends.
