About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Enrolled Nurse to join our team as an outpatient assessor and health promoter. As part of this role, you will work under the supervision of a Registered Nurse to assess patient needs and set priorities accordingly. You will also initiate treatment for minor injuries and illnesses, using your expertise and skills to make a positive impact on patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality outpatient assessment and health promotion services to patients.
  • Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless delivery of care.
  • Assess patient needs and develop individualised care plans.
  • Initiate treatment for minor injuries and illnesses, ensuring timely and effective interventions.

Requirements:

  • Currenthigh-levels of personal integrity and ethical behaviour.
  • Current unconditional and unrestricted registration as an Enrolled Nurse (Division 2), General with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
  • 2 years full-time post-registration nursing experience within the last 5 years (or part-time equivalent), in an acute care, primary healthcare, or military setting.
  • Recent participation in Continuing Professional Development (CPD) activities in accordance with AHPRA.
  • Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (HLTAID009) certification.

About East Sale

Our location at RAAF Base East Sale is situated 220km South-East of Melbourne, supporting approximately 700 personnel. We offer a range of healthcare services, including primary medical, nursing, dental, pharmaceutical, physiotherapy, and mental health services, as well as a low-dependency unit. Standard operating hours are generally 08:00 – 16:30 Monday – Thursday, and a half-day Friday 08:00 – 13:00.
