Technical SEO Lead Job

We are seeking an experienced Technical SEO Lead to join our team. As a key member of our SEO department, you will be responsible for driving technical SEO strategy implementation across all platforms and partnering with our engineering teams to deliver high-impact SEO outcomes.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in technical SEO, with experience managing large-scale websites and leading technical initiatives that elevate search visibility. You will be proficient in technical SEO tools, including Screaming Frog, Ahrefs, SEMrush, and Google Search Console.

Your role will involve briefings and collaboration with engineering teams, mentoring junior colleagues, and establishing best practices for technical SEO standards. You will also oversee site architecture, crawlability, rendering strategies, and performance optimisation across all properties.

Job Description
  • Drive technical SEO strategy implementation across all platforms
  • Brief and liaise with Product and Engineering teams on technical SEO requirements
  • Conduct advanced technical SEO audits and oversee implementation of optimisation initiatives
  • Mentor and develop junior SEO professionals through mentoring, training, and task delegation
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • 4+ years of experience in technical SEO, with at least 2 years in a senior capacity
  • Proven experience managing technical SEO for large-scale websites (100,000+ pages)
  • Experience with headless CMS implementations (Sanity preferred)
  • Proficiency with technical SEO tools (Screaming Frog, Ahrefs, SEMrush, Google Search Console)
