Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • A minimum Diploma in Youth Work, Community Services, or an equivalent qualification. Opportunity to enrol independently if not already meeting this requirement.
  • Aboriginal staff - a qualification is desirable, but experience and willingness to participate in training are essential.
  • Demonstrated skills and experience in youth services, residential care, or supported accommodation.
  • Knowledge and understanding of Aboriginal culture and values, and awareness of current issues faced by Aboriginal children, young people, and families.
  • Demonstrated experience working therapeutically with children and young people who have experienced significant challenges and trauma.

Requirements:

  • Valid and current Driver's License.
  • Satisfactory Criminal History Check.
  • Valid Working with Children Check.
  • Valid and current NDIS Workers Screening Check.
