Job SummaryWe are seeking an experienced Auto Electrician to join our maintenance team in Newman, Western Australia. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for executing maintenance schedules on mobile plant and equipment, ensuring the safety, reliability, and efficiency of our assets.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct complex diagnostics and maintenance activities on mobile plant and equipment
- Work efficiently and effectively on plant and equipment such as autonomous trucks and other critical mobile fleet
- Follow specific maintenance programs and procedures, and carry out checks on equipment as required
- Ensure accurate completion of technical documentation, reports, and drawings as required
- Be comfortable using computerized maintenance systems, including time confirmations, raising notifications, and closing work orders
- Take personal responsibility for helping the team achieve expected results
- Undertake training on a regular basis and provide support and coaching to workmates
- Assist the Maintenance Supervisor with rescheduling work, organizing resources, and determining priorities
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and assist in implementing new initiatives
To be successful in this role, you will possess the following qualifications and experience:
- Australian recognized Automotive Electrician Trade Qualification (Heavy Industry)
- Current Automotive Refrigerant Handling license
- Forklift and High Risk Working license
- Strong auto electrical maintenance competency with sound diagnostic abilities
- Experience working on CAT Haul Trucks 793F Haul Trucks
- Exposure to CAT Minestar Autonomous system
- Experience with Cummins and Komatsu
- Experience within the mining industry preferred, but agricultural or heavy industry will be considered
- Ability to work off schematic drawings
- Strong presentation, communication, and coaching skills, and the ability to work closely in a team environment
