Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and maintain financial statements, reports, and records.
  • Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.
  • Assist in budget preparation, financial forecasting, and variance analysis.
  • Ensure compliance with Australian tax regulations.
  • Assist with month-end closing responsibilities.
  • Reconcile general ledger, petty cash, receipts, allowance, and credit cards.
  • Monitor cash flow, banking transactions, and account reconciliations.
  • Provide financial insights and recommendations to management.
  • Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost savings and revenue growth.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in accounting or finance support roles.
  • Knowledge of accounting principles, Australian financial reporting standards (AASB), and tax regulations.
  • Highly experienced in accounting software Xero Practice Management System and Microsoft 365 office.
  • Excellent report writing and presentation skills.
  • Excellent IT skills.
  • Professional certification (e.g., CPA, CA, ACCA, CMA) or currently studying.
  • Bachelor's degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
