About the Role

The Head of House is a key leadership position at Marist-Sion College, responsible for overseeing the efficient leadership, organisation, management, and wellbeing of all members of their House.

The successful applicant will be a registered teacher with the Victorian Institute of Teaching, with a strong track record of leadership and a passion for promoting a culture of high expectations and positive relationships.

The Head of House will work closely with the Director of Student Wellbeing, Tutor Teachers, and education support staff to create a sustainable future for the College, using data to drive change and growth.

The role offers a competitive salary package, including $78,801 - $116,894 plus $9,534 (POL % super + salary packaging + 17.5% leave loading), as well as a range of benefits including a warm and welcoming community, diverse and dedicated staff, and opportunities for leadership and professional development.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading and managing a team of Tutor Teachers and education support staff
  • Developing and implementing a House Charism and Whole School Approach to Positive Behaviour Support
  • Communicating with parents and the wider community
  • Monitoring and reporting on student wellbeing and academic progress

The successful applicant will be a strong communicator, with excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, and a commitment to the safety and wellbeing of children.
