Warehouse Operations Manager

Our client is a leading food manufacturer with significant year-on-year growth. They are seeking an experienced Warehouse Operations Manager to oversee all aspects of warehouse operations.

This role involves managing a small team across various tasks including inventory control, order picking, and dispatch. Key responsibilities include:

  • \
  • Ensuring efficient warehouse operations and implementing procedures to promote safety and efficiency.\
  • Managing stock levels, controlling stock rotation, and maintaining accurate records.\
  • Coordinating with the Production Manager, Purchasing team, and other stakeholders to achieve business objectives.\
  • Developing and implementing process improvements to increase productivity and reduce costs.\
  • Maintaining a clean and organized workspace to meet health and safety standards.\
  • Providing training and coaching to junior staff members to enhance their skills and knowledge.\
  • Performing forklift operations and working in a freezer environment as required.\
  • Working closely with the Operations Manager to develop and implement strategic plans to drive business growth.\
  • Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.\
  • Preparing and presenting reports on warehouse performance to senior management.

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A proven track record of success in a similar position within the FMCG industry.\
  • Strong leadership and communication skills to motivate and direct a team.\
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills to optimize warehouse operations.\
  • Experience with ERP systems and proficiency in MS Office Suite.\
  • Current forklift license and ability to work in a freezer environment.
