Job Summary

As a Senior Analytical Specialist at Mars Incorporated in Bathurst, NSW, you will be responsible for executing testing methods and techniques to provide analysis of raw materials, finished goods samples, in-process, and environmental samples.

About the Role

This role is designed to support the daily operation of our laboratory, providing troubleshooting & technical support to the business. You will work across 4 x 10 hour shifts – with the occasional weekend work.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform analytical testing on raw materials, finished goods, in-process, and environmental samples.
  • Generate and provide reports and data as required.
  • Safely dispose of raw materials and finished goods following site procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with quality standards (e.g., GLP, QMP, Cross-Contamination, and site-specific requirements).
  • Liaise with MGS Lab on implementation, interpretation & troubleshooting.
  • Plan and execute lab analyses, train team members, and develop new testing methods when necessary.
  • Participate in proficiency and ring testing programs.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Cert III - Laboratory Skills or above.
  • Prior experience in laboratory position and quality control is highly desirable.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of analytical methodology, manufacturing processes, material specifications, good manufacturing practices, auditing, and HACCP.
  • IT Systems experience (ie SAP, Nexus, LIMS).

Estimated Salary Range

$80,000 - $110,000 per annum, depending on experience.
