The Role

">

We're seeking an experienced Senior Buyer to join our talented Buying team. As a Senior Buyer, you will be responsible for driving the category to new heights by developing commercially relevant ranges for Forever New's global markets.

Your Key Responsibilities

">
  • Construct a commercially balanced range that offers the right mix of print, plain, and color and end use for the business
  • Liaise with Managing Director and Buying leaders on long-term product planning
  • Ensure clear and sensible price architecture to maximize sales and profitability
  • Work with design to ensure range reflects the right level of newness/fashion/trend & volume lines are maximized and moved on at the right time
  • Coordinate all areas of buying process to ensure stock is ordered and delivered on time
  • Analyze & have comprehensive understanding of category history applying this to the range build
  • Ensure range reflects climate needs of all regions
  • Ensure all department financial parameters and targets are achieved
  • Respond to sales and market data to make commercial decisions to maximize sales opportunities and minimize potential future risks
  • Trade department in collaboration with Planner by optimizing profit, maximizing department potential through repeats, and minimizing slow performance through promotion or markdowns
  • Comprehensive knowledge of local and overseas market trends through various mediums including magazines and online research
  • Analyze relevance of trends for brand and plan reaction accordingly
  • Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge and awareness of competitors and external trends, identifying missed opportunities and trends to maximize revenue
  • Brief Design to ensure fabrics, prints, and style details are consistent with brand vision using relevant option plan provided by Planning
  • Work with Design & QA to ensure best fit, consistency of fit, and best possible quality of fabric, trim, make, and finish
  • Make commercial decisions throughout development process of a product with respect to delivering most commercial style in most profitable way, adhering to brand standards
  • Aware of production progress against department critical path ensuring key dates are met by the team.

Your Skills and Qualifications

">

We're looking for someone with specific dress category experience, at least 5 years' experience as a Buyer or 2+ years' experience as a Senior Buyer. You'll also need exceptional knowledge of all fabrications, raw materials, product categories, and garment construction.

As a Senior Buyer with Forever New, you can expect a competitive salary of $120,000 - $150,000 per year, depending on your experience and qualifications.
