Procurement Leadership Opportunity

We are seeking a seasoned procurement professional to fill the role of Assistant Director, Procurement. This leadership position involves overseeing a small team responsible for ensuring compliance and delivering high-quality procurement results.

About the Role

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and experienced procurement expert to join our organization. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of applying the Commonwealth Government procurement framework, including the Commonwealth Procurement Rules and connected policies.

Responsibilities
  • Supervise a team of procurement professionals responsible for procurement planning, contract management, and compliance.
  • Provide expert advice and assurance on procurement processes and policies.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve procurement efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Participate in procurement forums and committees to contribute to the development of procurement policies and procedures.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess:

  • Demonstrated experience in applying the Commonwealth Government procurement framework.
  • Proven leadership and mentoring skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders.
