We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Chief Property Strategist to lead our property portfolio across Australia, driving strategic growth and operational excellence.

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive property strategy that aligns with our business objectives. This will involve analyzing market trends, identifying opportunities, and making informed decisions to optimize our portfolio's performance.

About the Role:

  • Negotiate and manage commercial lease outcomes to ensure they meet or exceed target benchmarks.
  • Manage the portfolio cost base and work closely with internal stakeholders to provide timely reporting, accurate forecasting, and identify opportunities.
  • Identify strategic opportunities within the property portfolio to enhance or unlock value and lead the project(s) from seeking approval to execution within timelines and approved outcomes.
  • Conduct property acquisitions and portfolio assessments to consolidate or promote efficiencies across multiple sites in varying geographies.
  • Direct and implement lease-compliant Facilities Management across the portfolio in partnership with the Procurement function and associated business streams.
  • Manage Build-to-suit developments and major facility alterations to scope, cost, and stakeholder expectations.
  • Develop positive relationships with commercial partners, landlords, tenants, and other parties involved in property operations.

Key Requirements:

  • Minimum 10-15 years' experience working in property or asset management, focused on industrial or commercial properties with demonstrated exposure to development/redevelopment.
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in property management, business, engineering, or construction management.
  • Proven ability to manage a large portfolio of properties in line with Infra Build and LPMA.
  • Strong understanding of building codes, commercial and real estate law, and ability to plan and oversee all aspects incorporated in a project.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, delivering effective communication at all levels from branch managers to EGMs.
  • The ability to focus on detail or step back to assess opportunity from a strategic point of view to provide innovative solutions to complex problems.

Salary:$120,000 - $180,000 per annum (dependent on experience), plus benefits package.
