About the Role
This position offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your electrical experience across various customer sites in the Pilbara region. Based in Perth on a 2:1 FIFO roster, you will be responsible for conducting electrical and mechanical inspections, scheduled servicing, and routine maintenance according to relevant Australian standards.
As part of our team, you will support FMG BIB's VIA FIFO or DIDO requirements, troubleshoot equipment issues, repair equipment, and complete electrical load testing and tagging of all electrical tools and equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out electrical and mechanical inspections, scheduled servicing, and routine maintenance in accordance with relevant Australian standards, manufacturer, and SHEQ requirements.
- Support FMG BIB's VIA FIFO or DIDO depending on the requirements.
- Troubleshoot equipment issues to determine cause of problems/failure.
- Repair equipment to restore it to full functionality.
- Carry out electrical load testing of generators and other hire equipment.
- Complete electrical testing and tagging of all electrical tools and equipment.
- Carry out electrical inspections, upgrades, and installs for portable buildings in accordance with current AS/NZS 3001 standards.
- Ensure all required paperwork is completed and submitted in full and on time.
- Assist in monitoring reliability and equipment readiness for hire at branch level.
Requirements
- Relevant Electrical trade certification.
- Dual trade qualification in Refrigeration/HVAC (desirable, but not essential).
- High Risk Work Licence LF (forklift), High Risk Work Licence WP (elevating work platform).
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Safety focused mindset.
- Ability to work effectively in a workshop environment.
- FIFO experience (desirable, but not essential).
