About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Crew Leader to join our team at Shadforth. As a key member of our civil construction maintenance team, you will be responsible for overseeing the final minor construction components for the civil stages and assisting with getting them on maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of maintenance crew members to ensure the completion of tasks and projects on time and to a high standard.
  • Assist with the planning and coordination of maintenance activities to ensure efficient use of resources.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless integration of maintenance activities with other construction stages.
  • Develop and implement maintenance schedules and procedures to ensure optimal equipment performance and minimize downtime.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to identify potential maintenance issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Provide training and guidance to junior team members to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
  • Monitor and report on maintenance activities, including costs, timelines, and quality of work.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in civil construction maintenance, with a strong background in leadership and team management.
  • Ability to read and interpret civil construction plans and specifications.
  • Manual driver's license and ability to operate a variety of power tools.
  • Confined space ticket and experience working in confined spaces.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues, contractors, and clients.
