About this Role:
We are seeking a seasoned leader to fill the position of Chief Executive Officer. This exciting opportunity calls for an experienced professional with expertise in emergency management, policy development, and stakeholder engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate closely with government officials to implement legislative responsibilities outlined in relevant laws.
- Develop and oversee a risk-based Emergency Management Framework for the state within a national context.
- Partner with stakeholders to drive advancements in sector improvements and maintain key capabilities such as Public Information and Warning Systems and State Emergency Information Call Centre Capability.
- Negotiate effectively with volunteer associations and unions.
About Us:
We operate under the guidance of our Board, working with fire and emergency service organizations to provide resources and support for volunteers and employees in the emergency services sector.
Requirements:
- Demonstrated experience in leadership, emergency management, and policy development.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Able to work collaboratively with stakeholders and develop effective relationships.
