Job Description

We're seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to lead our cloud future. This role is responsible for leading the design and implementation of public cloud services provided to customers.

  • You will be responsible for Level 3 systems support of IT Public Cloud services.
  • With a primary focus on Azure, you will bring significant domain knowledge and provide thought leadership to the team in this area.
Responsibilities

This role involves:

  • Building, deploying and maintaining Azure infrastructure.
  • Preparing and reviewing technical change requests.
  • Developing and maintaining operational documentation and diagrams.
  • Preparing and providing leadership in automation, scripting, infrastructure as code and DevOps.
  • Providing guidance and escalation support across the team as required.
  • Responsible for customer engagements including regular reviews, general communications, and workshops.
  • Input to and review project designs, migration plans and test plans.
  • Staying current with vendor supplied and other best practice cloud solution architectures.
  • Participation in the after hours on-call rotating roster.
Desired Skills And Experience

The following skills and experience are desirable:

  • Azure Associate-level certificate/s essential.
  • Azure Architect or equivalent certificate desirable.

The following must-haves apply:

  • Demonstrable experience in a similar senior Server or Cloud support role.
  • High-level competency in Azure infrastructure management.
  • Strong competency in Entra ID, SAML and OAUTH, Azure Resource Manager, Microsoft Partner technologies including GDAP and Lighthouse, Infrastructure management, Exceptional troubleshooting skills, analytical research and problem solving.
  • Competency in GitOps and general DevOps processes.
  • Good capabilities in scripting, automation, and infrastructure as code.
  • Understanding of ITIL framework.
