
High Net Worth Investment Strategist

We are seeking a seasoned Investment Director to join our team. As an Investment Director, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing the financial wellbeing of our clients and communities across generations.
The successful candidate will have expertise in improving business outcomes through strategic investment decisions. You will be responsible for presenting and positioning our investment proposition to high-net-worth (HNW) and ultra-high-net-worth (UHNW) clients, discussing investment opportunities across multiple asset classes, including fixed income solutions, direct and managed equities, property, structured solutions, and alternatives.
You will also educate, train, and coach Private Bankers regarding investment opportunities and investment markets. Developing new business leads and opportunities from existing Commonwealth Bank clients and from external networks is a key responsibility of this role. Presenting investment updates and conducting roundtable discussions with existing and potential investors is another essential aspect of the job.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Detailed knowledge of current investment market environment and ability to update clients on changes in financial markets consistent with Investment & Research Team house views.
- Expertise in sharing insights and expertise across all asset classes, including FX, equities, fixed income, international and domestic solutions, real estate, credit, private equity/alternatives.
- Able to communicate the value proposition to support client meetings to drive positive investment outcomes.
- Coaching, mentoring, seeking feedback, and supporting team capabilities to deliver strategy into various segments of stakeholders.
- Collaborative approach to client management working effectively with a broad subset of Private Bankers and their private clients.
- Building trust and confidence by engaging and working with Private Bankers, business partners, and external providers.

- Requirements include a Bachelor of Commerce, Economics, Finance, Business, or related discipline, plus 10+ years' frontline experience in financial markets/investment management/investment market sales, experience across the broad asset class spectrum, experience in the UHNW/HNW client segment, and experience in driving business development and organizational change.
