Role Overview
As a Mechanical Tradesperson, your responsibilities will include the repair, servicing, and maintenance of Western Power's heavy vehicles and mobile plant. Your expertise will ensure that our equipment operates safely and meets both manufacturer and Australian Standards. Your tasks will involve:
- Performing both scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, including inspections and complex fault diagnosis of heavy vehicles and mobile plant equipment
- Modifying equipment according to project specifications and engineering designs
Candidate Profile
We are looking for candidates with the following qualifications and experience:
- Proven experience as a Heavy Vehicle or Mobile Plant Mechanic
- Trade qualification (AQF3) in Heavy Duty Mechanical applications
- Proficient in diagnosing and repairing hydraulic and low voltage electrical systems
- Strong teamwork skills and the ability to collaborate within a high-performing team
- Valid WA 'C' class driver's license (essential)
- Valid WA 'HR' Driver's License (desirable)
- High Risk licenses for EWP, Dogging, and Forklift (desirable)
- Motor Vehicle Repairer's Certificate for HVW and LVW (desirable)
