About Your Next Opportunity
We are seeking Patient Care Specialists to join our Pathology Collection team in Collection Centres and Hospitals across the Greater Brisbane Region. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for taking blood samples from patients and maintaining positive relationships with external clients, GPs, and Medical Centre staff.
Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Treating patients with care and compassion;
- Receiving urine and faeces samples;
- Recording patient information;
- Completing online training via our eLearning system; and
- Liaising with referrers and ancillary services in other health settings.
About You
If you are a people-focused individual with a passion for customer service, this could be the ideal role for you. As a Patient Care Specialist, you will embark on a comprehensive paid training course during your first twelve months, equipping you with the skills and knowledge required to excel in this role.
We are looking for someone who:
- Enjoys variety within their role;
- Is a proud advocate of our policies and procedures;
- Has the willingness to increase their skill base as required;
- Can work effectively independently and as part of a team;
- Displays efficient time management and problem-solving skills;
- Has good interpersonal and liaison skills;
A First Aid Certificate is also a requirement of the role. While not essential, previous experience working in the health or community sectors would be highly regarded.
