Job Description:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Conservation Land Manager to join our team in Central Queensland. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a vital role in delivering environmental monitoring and land management services to the mining industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with practical land management activities, including environmental monitoring, scientific record keeping, weed and feral animal control, erosion and sediment control, fencing and watering point management, vegetation and fire management, and sustainable grazing land management.
  • Carry out practical land management activities under the direction of the supervising ranger and environment managers, and in accordance with statutory requirements and agreed performance standards.
  • Contribute effectively to a small team of operational staff who undertake practical environmental and land management activities.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • A minimum of 2 years experience in conservation and land management practice, preferably in a similar role.
  • Hold an unrestricted Class C driver's licence or capable and willing to obtain such a licence.
  • Hold a Standard 11 Mine Safety Induction (Surface) Certificate or capable and willing to obtain such a certificate.
  • Demonstrated ability and physical fitness to undertake practical physical work involving walking and manual labour in the outdoors.
