Claims Technical Leader

We are seeking an experienced Claims Technical Manager to lead our claims technical support team in Sydney. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for overseeing the management of claims and ensuring exceptional customer satisfaction.
The ideal candidate will possess relevant tertiary qualifications, industry experience in insurance, legal, and/or claims environments, and strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills. You will be able to work effectively under pressure, communicate clearly, and possess excellent problem-solving skills.
Key responsibilities include:
- Strategic technical management and coordination of head office reporting and distribution
- Manage document compliance sign-off tasks for the national liability team
- Complete internal dispute resolution for liability claims, national (IDR and Broker Triage programs)
- External dispute resolution for liability claims, national (e.g., AFCA)
- Identify trends/areas where training or procedure updates are required and implement same with input from team managers
