We are seeking individuals to join our Refrigeration & Air-Conditioning apprenticeship program.

This position is in partnership with a leading industrial refrigeration service and contracting company.

Ai Group Apprentice and Trainee Centre is a Group Training Organisation that employs apprentices and trainees, then places them with Host Organisations. We provide support through our mentoring program, which includes regular workplace visits and training provider sessions.

As an employee of Ai Group ATC, you will be expected to uphold the values of integrity, honesty, and excellence, and exhibit a strong work ethic. You must also be effective at time management, enjoy working in a team environment, and have a sincere interest in your chosen trade.

You must be an Australian Citizen or have the correct working visa to apply for this position.

This apprenticeship will involve learning all aspects of the trade, including:

  • Installing compressors, condensers, evaporators, motors, air filters, switches, gauges, copper lines for steam, gas, refrigerant, fuel, oil, chilled water, and compressed air.
  • Plans and specifications for installation.
  • Drill holes, install mounting brackets, and then cut, shape, and thread piping through walls and floors.
  • Cooperate with other trades when installing ducting for air conditioning and piping to refrigeration systems.
  • Testing installation and fill systems for leaks using gas or fluid.
  • Repair and replace problematic components of industrial and household refrigerators and air conditioning units.
