Regulatory Reporting Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Financial Planning Analyst, Regulatory Reporting Specialist to join our Finance, Reporting & Control team.

This critical role is responsible for the preparation and submission of accurate APRA regulatory reports. You will work closely with various departments to gather necessary data and ensure timely reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintenance of the team's regulatory reporting requirements calendar
  • Preparation and submission of Group Finance's APRA reporting requirements, including Balance Sheet, Liquidity, Risk and Capital Adequacy reporting
  • Collaboration with finance, risk, and compliance teams to gather and validate data for reporting purposes
  • Data analysis and completeness of regulatory returns
  • Support in Regulatory Capital reporting to the Board and sub-committees
  • Regulatory Capital forecasting
  • Support to the Risk team in discharging their APRA governance and risk management duties
  • Daily Treasury control functions (P&L review, reconciliations)
  • Monitoring of prudential limits in line with internal policy and APRA requirements
  • Treasury data analysis to identify trends and variances

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years' experience in an APRA/Regulatory reporting function within the banking sector
  • Strong ability to deliver process improvements
  • Experience producing financial result analysis for management
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, Commerce or a related field; a relevant postgraduate qualification or certification is highly regarded
